Principal’s Message

Our college was established in 1967 with a clear aim - to provide quality education to everyone, especially students from rural, needy, and socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The institution was founded under the inspiring leadership of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh, the first Agriculture Minister of India and the founder of Shri Shivaji Education Society, along with Dalitmitra Pandharinath Patil, the local founder of this college. Several respected leaders and social workers, including Adv. R. D. Bhonde ‘Sarkar’ and Dalitmitra Santoshrao Patil, supported this noble mission through land donations and voluntary service. We gratefully remember their contribution.

From the beginning, the college has worked to provide higher education without compromising on quality. Our goal has always been to support first-generation learners, rural youth, and economically weaker students so they can build a better future. We firmly believe that education can reduce inequality and strengthen society, and no deserving student should face barriers due to financial or social problems.

Over the years, the college has grown into a reputed centre of learning with Science, Humanities, and Commerce faculties offering UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes. To meet modern needs, we have also introduced job-oriented and skill-based subjects such as Computer Science, Microbiology, and various Certificate Courses. We focus on improving communication skills and employability to prepare students for today’s competitive world.

Our dedicated teachers guide students through creative and practical learning. Seminars, workshops, projects, field visits, and extension activities enrich the learning process. Our non-teaching staff also work sincerely to support students in their day-to-day needs.

We strive to maintain an inclusive campus by offering scholarships, fee concessions, counselling, and mentoring to needy students. We believe every student has potential, and we are committed to helping them grow.

As we move ahead, we aim to strengthen academics, upgrade infrastructure, adopt new technologies, and expand research. We remain dedicated to our founding ideals - service, equality, knowledge, and progress.

I warmly welcome all students, parents, and well-wishers to join us in this journey of learning and empowerment.
