The institute is the member of family Shri Shivaji Education Society Amravati, a renowned educational trust, founded by Late Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh, First Agricultural Minister of India. Shri Shivaji Science And Arts College, Chikhli is a reputed government aided institute affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. It is the oldest premiere institution in rural area.
Alumni Association of the Shri Shivaji College creates and maintains a life-long connection between the Institute and its alumni. This association of Shivaji College was registered with the Charity Commissioner on 18/06/2004 Registration No. is MH/227/04/Buldana, which aims to develop a robust network of alumni from various fields and parts of the world. The cell intends to function as a liaison between the current students and the alumni community thereby, facilitating an exchange of resources, opportunities and extension of mentorship. The Alumni Association works to connect alumni, support students and build an unforgettable Institute experience through a diversity of events, programming and services.
The mission of the Association is to foster strong bonds between alumni, students and the Institute, to keep alumni informed, and create a network enabling them to remain engaged with their alma mater and help shape its future through the Association's programmes and services.
The Alumni are the face of this institute, and they have in the past contributed a lot to the institute. You could come to the institute and to take a look at the work in the labs around the institutes, meet your old professors, visit your old hostel and meet with the student living in your old room, mentor a pool of students, meet the students in the Student - Alumni Meet or just hang out by the road side. The institute welcomes you with open arms.
Dr Vijayshree Hemke is the co-ordinator of the Alumni Association.
A number of alumni got education from this institution and secured respectable positions in their respective fields. Alumni association is a platform where they can manifest their sense of gratitude towards the institution and the society as well. It bridges the gap between the former students and the students having education in the institution. The Alumni Association bears the responsibility to guide and inspire the students to boost co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Besides it raises funds for sustainable growth and development of the institution and students in every possible way. It substantially contributes in the celebration of birth anniversary of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh, the founder President of our parent society. It encourages students to strive for the all-round development to scale new heights of excellence in all walks of life.
The association works unceasingly to keep the established status of the institution as a centre of excellence in education catering to the needs of the stake holders, especially students, belonging to different socio-economic background.
